TL;DR: We respect your data because we don't collect it.
Orebit GeoSuite (Core, Assay, Resource) and the free tools on this site are client-side applications. Any geological or business data you upload never leaves your computer.
1. Client-Side Processing
Our flagship product, Orebit GeoSuite, runs entirely on your laptop — as a free web tool or an installed Desktop Edition. This means:
- When you open a CSV/Excel file, it is read locally on your machine.
- We do not upload your files to our servers.
- We do not store, cache, or transmit your proprietary drilling or production data over the internet.
- Once you close the tab or app, the data is permanently wiped from memory.
2. Data Collection & Analytics
This website is hosted on our own infrastructure. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics tool that does not collect personal data.
Orebit does not inject third-party trackers (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixels) into this site. Your browsing activity here is private.
3. Contact Forms & Emails
If you contact us via the provided email links (e.g., orebit.id@gmail.com) or request a free Desktop Edition license, any information you provide (name, email) will be treated confidentially. We only use this information to respond to your inquiry or deliver the license key, and will not sell or distribute it to third parties.
4. Verification & Audit
Your data never leaves your machine: all processing happens locally in your browser or inside the Desktop Edition. You can verify this behaviour yourself — monitor the network tab while using any tool, or audit any export file in a text editor.
- Local-only processing: no upload, no telemetry, no analytics.
- Audits: independent source audits are available on request — contact orebit.id@gmail.com.
5. Voluntary Contributions
GeoSuite is free to use — there's no payment involved in downloading or using Core, Assay, or Resource. If you choose to make a voluntary contribution via Support Orebit, your payment information is handled entirely by Saweria, an independent third-party platform. We do not have access to your card number or payment details.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy periodically as our tools evolve. All changes will be tracked transparently through our Git commit history and posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
