Privacy Policy
TL;DR: We respect your data because we don't collect it.
The Orebit Showcase and GeoDataViz Lite are fully client-side applications running on GitHub Pages. Any geological or business data you upload never leaves your computer.
1. Client-Side Processing (WebAssembly)
Our flagship public tool, GeoDataViz Lite, utilizes WebAssembly (WebR) technology. This means the R analytical engine runs directly within your browser's memory.
- When you browse and open a CSV/Excel file, it is read locally by your browser.
- We do not upload your files to our servers.
- We do not store, cache, or transmit your proprietary drilling or production data over the internet.
- Once you close the browser tab, the data is permanently wiped from memory.
2. Data Collection & Analytics
This website is an open-source static site hosted on GitHub Pages. By nature of this hosting platform, GitHub may collect standard internet log information (like IP addresses or User-Agent strings) for their operational and security purposes. Please refer to the GitHub Privacy Statement for details.
Orebit does not inject third-party analytical trackers (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixels) into this showcase site. Your browsing activity here is private.
3. Contact Forms & Emails
If you choose to contact us via the provided email links (e.g., ghoziankarami@gmail.com) or request access to Pro/Enterprise versions, any information you provide (name, company, email) will be treated confidentially. We only use this information to respond to your inquiry and will not sell or distribute it to third parties.
4. Open Source Transparency
Because privacy and security are paramount in the mining industry, the entire source code for this site and the GeoDataViz Lite application is publicly available for auditing. We encourage you to inspect the code to verify our data handling practices.
